Ocean Safety & Surf Summer Camp

Join Surfrider Foundation Virginia for our Ocean Safety and Surf Summer Camp!

All children ages 6-15 are welcome to join this FREE summer camp from July 17-19, 2022! In partnership with the Virginia Beach Lifeguard Association and Wes Laine Surf Camp, Surfrider Foundation VA will host a mandatory ocean safety training on Friday evening, followed by a screening of the film Surfs Up, and on Saturday and Sunday, free surf lessons from Wes Laine Surf Camp. Surfboards will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have one! A pizza dinner will be provided Friday, as well as treats from Kona Ice and Popcorn! Lunch and snacks will be provided both Saturday and Sunday for all campers, but feel free to pack your camper a snack if you’d prefer!

Liability waivers will be available at the event! Registration closes at 8pm Friday night (6/17).

Friday, June 17:  5 PM – 8 PM – MANDATORY ATTENDANCE FOR ALL CAMPERS

Ocean safety training from the VB Rescue Squad, film screening of Surfs Up, and pizza dinner. Each child registered for Summer Surf Camp gets a t-shirt and swag bag. Parents will need to sign a waiver. Located at the de Witt Cottage, 1113 Atlantic Ave.

Saturday & Sunday, June 18 & 19:  9 AM – 1 PM – PICK ONE DAY

Free surf lessons from Wes Laine Surf Camp on the south side of the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier! Surfboards, lunch and snacks provided, or feel free to bring your own.
