The Virginia Chapter is proud to announce our partnership with Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum located at the de Witt Cottage. Come join the Virginia Chapter’s Executive Committee for our monthly open chapter meeting every third Monday of the month at 6:30pm. We discuss updates on the chapter’s latest campaigns, programs and events. We want our volunteers and members to be engaged in the ways we keep our oceans, waves and beaches clean and accessible for all to enjoy. The historic de Witt Cottage is located at 1113 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
We hope to see you there!
We all work hard to protect our oceans, waves and beaches. We like to get together just to hang out and socialize with our members and volunteers.
Chapter members, volunteers and anyone else who loves movies get together to watch educational films as well as surfing films on the big screen. When the weather is nice, we like to sit outside for this family friendly event.
International Surfing Day
Each year, celebrations take place across the globe in more than 30 countries featuring surf contests, barbecues, film screenings and other surf-related activities. In addition to celebrating the sport and lifestyle of surfing, participants also give back to our mission by organizing beach cleanups, habitat restoration and other acts promoting coastal protection. The Virginia Chapter celebrates ISD on the closest weekend to June 20th at Croatan beach. We typically surf all day and hold a beach cleanup. Keep an out as the date approaches for all the details.
