DATE: Saturday, May 11, 2013
TIME: 07:30 AM to 11:00 AM
LOCATION: Sandbridge Beach
ADDRESS: Sandbridge Beach, Virginia Beach, VA
As we discussed at the Chapter Meeting this past Saturday night, we’ll be holding beach clean ups the second Saturday of each month. We hope you guys can join us for some surf time, socializing and clean up. This month, we’re going to clean up the north end of Sandbridge.
Saturday, May 11th
7:30am-9am – free surf
9am-11am – beach clean up
We will meet at the parking lot at the entrance of Sandbridge. As you come down Sandbridge Road, turn right at the traffic light onto Sandpiper Road and then immediately turn left into the parking lot. The lot is across the street from the Volunteer Rescue building. The lot opens at 6am and is free until 10am, so whether you can make it for the surf session or just the clean up – you’ll get in before they start charging for parking. If you run late to the clean up, Virginia Beach residents pay $3 and non-beach residents pay $5 after 10am.
We’ll provide gloves, bags, reachers (for those hard to reach spots near the dunes) and anything else we’ll need for the clean up.
You bring your high energy, positive vibes and reusable water bottle (always Rise Above Plastics!)
I also have an extra longboard and an extra wetsuit if anyone needs to borrow one – we’re all getting together to share the stoke! Family friendly – the more, the merrier!
Invite everyone on your friends list! Share the stoke!!
