I use single use garbage bags everyday. My wife and I use them because we have a small garbage bin instead of a large one under our kitchen sink. This helps instead of using really large hefty type bags. Are we doing our part to help or are we making things worse?

  The problem is that the plastic bags you’re using are still being thrown away and sit in landfills, never breaking down. Some people use no can liner and just wash out their trashcan when finished with it. I personally use biodegradable bags that I purchase from reuseit.com. I feel best using the biodegradable bags, but your situation often comes up in the plastic bag debate. Great question to bring up!! I’m curious what some other people do.
